Otter AI helped foster student engagement in different ways and in varying degrees. ATS rolled out the tool in fall 2020 and facilitated the process of adoption by faculty. Otter AI produces a transcript of live lectures and integrates with a Zoom account. To overcome these challenges for hard-of-hearing and other students in general, ATS explored the Otter AI transcription tool from a Universal Design for Learning perspective. The challenges of teaching and learning online during COVID required the use of new tools and methodologies for accessible and inclusive teaching. ![]()
